Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an entrance exam conducted for admission into the engineering colleges of India. JEE consists of two examinations JEE Main and JEE Advance. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main examination is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) every year for admission into B.Tech./B.E Programs in 31 NITs, 20 IIITs and 22 CFTIs.

JEE Main is also a qualifying exam for JEE Advance for admission in 23 IITs of the country. The number of attempts which a candidate can avail for JEE Main is limited to three.

JEE 2018 application formalities are already over. Remaining important Dates of JEE Main 2018 are as below:

Release of JEE Main admit card: 02nd week of March 2018

Offline JEE Main exam: 08th April 2018 (Paper 1 – 09:30 to 12:30), (Paper 2 – 14:00 to 17:00)

Online JEE Main exam: 15th & 16th April 2018

Declaration of JEE (Main) Paper–1 Score: 30th April 2018

Declaration of All India Rank JEE (Main) Paper – 2: 31st May 2018

JEE Main 2018 Admit Card:

The JEE Main 2018 Admit Card can be downloaded from JEE Main website: https://jeemain.nic.in from 2nd week of March 2018 onwards. The candidates are advised to download their JEE Main 2018 admit card from JEE Main website only. The candidates who have successfully submitted their filled in the Application form shall only be able to download JEE Main 2018 admit card. All the candidates are required to carry their JEE Main 2018 Admit Card at the examination venue. No candidate will be allowed to sit in the examination without admit card.



Procedure to download the JEE Main 2018 Admit Card:

The candidates may follow the given steps to download the JEE Main 2018 Admit Card:

  • Visit the website of JEE Main.
  • Go to the ‘Admit Card’ section.
  • Enter JEE Main 2018 Application Number and other details (if any).
  • The JEE Main 2018 Admit Card will appear on the screen in PDF format.
  • The JEE Main 2018 Admit Card will have the details like Name of the candidate, Name of the Paper, Photo & Signature, Roll number, Date of Birth, Gender, Date and Venue of the exam, State Code of Eligibility, Category of the candidate.
  • Verify the details given on the JEE Main 2018 Admit Card very carefully.
  • In case of any discrepancy, communicate to the JEE (Main) Secretariat/CBSE for necessary action.

Instructions to Recover Forgotten Application Number/Password:

In case any candidate forgot JEE Main 2018 Application Number/Password, he/she can recover it in following ways:

  • Visit the JEE Main website.
  • Go to the ‘Admit Card’ section.
  • Go to the link of “Forgot Application Number/Password”.
  • Fill the details like Candidate’s Name, Mother’s Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth etc.
  • Submit the page and JEE Main 2018 Admit Card will appear on the screen in PDF format.
  • Take the print out of it and keep it safe till the admission process completes successfully.

Important Instructions about JEE Main 2018 Admit Card:

The candidates are required to take a note of the important instructions related to JEE Main 2018 Admit Card:

  • The candidates have to bring JEE Main 2018 Admit Card to appear in the entrance examination.
  • No candidate will be allowed to sit for the exam without JEE Main 2018 Admit card.
  • The candidates should bring a photo identity proof like Aadhar card, PAN card, Voter ID etc.
  • The candidates belong to PwD category must bring their PwD category certificates or Ids.
  • The candidates are suggested to reach the exam centre 2:30 hours before the commencement of the examination.

The students from all over India are going to take part in JEE Main 2018. So, the candidates are required to do hard work and give their 100% efforts into the JEE Main 2018 preparation. In 2017 the number of students appeared in JEE Main was 11,86,454 out of which only 2,21,427 students were qualified.

Important Tips to Prepare for JEE Main 2018:

The candidates going to appear in JEE Main 2018 are required to focus on the few things to crack the JEE Main 2018:

  • A student can crack the JEE Main 2018 without coaching but it is not possible to crack JEE Main 2018 without studying. So the first most important thing is regular study.
  • A candidate is required to make study plans according to the syllabus of JEE Main 2018.
  • Most of the students will appear in Board examination of 2018 and the syllabus of Board examination & JEE Main 2018 is almost same. So a candidate should target to score more than 75% in Board examination.
  • A candidate should concentrate more on the basic concept of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • A candidate should practice through Mock Test papers because the questions in Mock Test papers are similar to the questions that will come in JEE Main 2018.
  • A candidate should make a Time Table to prepare all the subjects efficiently.
  • A candidate can solve the previous year question papers to get more idea about the question pattern.
  • A candidate should have to avoid all the social connections and entertainment channels because these sources consume alot of time.



JEE Main 2018 Exam Pattern:

JEE Main 2018 Paper 1 consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

JEE Main 2018 Paper 2 consist of  Drawing Test, Aptitude Test, Mathematics.

Type of Questions will be Objective Type and the Mode of Exams would be Computer Based Test (CBT).
