    Hi,
I am Akash Gondaliya from ICT college, Mumbai. We would be privileged if IGNITE ENGINEERS become the part for Sports fest as “Student opportunity partner”. Basically Sportsaga is the biggest annual fest in Mumbai, having footfall of 8000+ covering events from individual to the team sports. And the best part of our event is the ICT Marathon which is totally student organised Marathon having footfall of 4000+. Please do let’s know if you wanna associate with us.

          Hi Soma,

In my opinion, you should definitely join IIIT Gwalior. It is a very good institute. Compared to RVCE, IIIT Gwalior is much better. You will get better exposure to both industry and research opportunities at IIIT Gwalior than RVCE.

      Dear Susheel Sir,

Interviews are always bit uncertain, but people do crack. so nothing to be disheartened.
Your son is a bright student and definitely would get into a good IIT/IISC/TIFR one day. I know he must be bit disappointed now a days but support him and tell him that it happens with everyone. Failure is a part of life and we should learn from it rather than running away from it.

During interviews, IITs and IISC are such institutes who always focus on problem solving approach and basic concepts. If you fail at it then it’s difficult to crack the interviews. Since your Son had done his M.Tech in Control System, he must be from Electrical Engineering background. Tell him to brush up his engineering Mathematics knowledge. He should know how to do the mathematical modeling of any problem.

He should be very much clear on his M.Tech Thesis work. Following questions on his thesis could be asked:

      1. Why have you chosen the project
      2. What type of real life problem can be solved by the project
      3. What’s new he had done in his project
      4. What is the future scope of the project
      5. Other technical related stuff regarding his Thesis work

Tell him to prepare two or three of his favorite subjects thoroughly. Because generally in interviews people ask about the favorite subjects. If someone would fail to answer a question on his favorite subject, then interviewer generally rejects the candidate.

Tell your son to talk to his seniors who have faced these type of interviews. Ask him to collect such interview questions from his seniors if possible. He should also note down the questions which he had been asked during the interviews. Go through them before attending the next interview.

In IIT interviews experts from all relevant fields sit in the panel. So, don’t try to bluff them, just say “right now I am unable to recollect the same” or simply say a humble “I do not know the answer, but I would definitely look onto it” when you don’t know the answer.

Say your son not to get nervous during the interview. Everyone fails in life, so not to worry. Go ahead and all the best.

Drop us a message whenever you need our assistance.

I think the admission will be based on your JEE Mains rank. PCM percentile is only required for the eligibility criteria. Only for some seats in CSSS, 12th mark will be considered.

HBTU has 20% of seats reserved for girls. So I would suggest you should try your luck.

MMM conducts their own exam for B. Tech admission and allots 10% of seats through JEE mains

Hopefully you might get a seat in MMM.

It is difficult to tell you about the admission possibilities based on EWS rank as NTA has provided EWS category reservation for the first time in JEE Main Entrance Exam.

With your JEE mains rank you can try for your home state NIT. Go for rare engineering branches such as Civil, Production Engineering etc. rather than the conventional branches like CSE or ECE. You can get rare branches (https://www.igniteengineers.com/rare-engineering-branches/) more easily.

You can try for IIIT Una, IIIT Nagpur, IIIT Bhagalpur, IIIT Ranchi, IIIT Manipur, IIIT Bhopal, IIITDm Kurnool for both CSE and ECE.

      Hi Rishi,

It is difficult to tell you about the admission possibilities based on EWS rank as NTA has provided EWS category reservation for the first time in JEE Main Entrance Exam. In my prediction, with this rank the chances of getting a seat in NITs and IIITs are very low.

You might try for rare branches in NITs / IIITs such as Food Processing, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Smart Manufacturing etc. To know more about rare engineering branches, you can visit the following link:
